From East Lansing, MI I studied painting at Michigan State University. My current work involves my interest in mythology/religion and seeking parallels to ancient myths in the contemporary world. I have found that the myths/legends/etc. of my generation largely are delivered through popular culture, and through my work I am exploring these themes as they present themselves in my everyday life. Using a "Golden Age Comics" stylistic reinterpretation of Thangka and Iconic themes I replace the symbols and iconography of the more traditional works with those I have uncovered throughout my lifetime.
